Morning church service at Sandringham for Lady Louise.

Merry Christmas everyone! As each and every year I am happy to be back on the 25th of December and share pictures of Sandringham’s church service with the Royal Family. Sadly this year HM The Queen had to stay indoors due to the heavy cold.

In the morning Buckingham Palace released this short information: “Her Majesty The Queen will not attend Church at Sandringham this morning. The Queen continues to recover from a heavy cold and will stay indoors to assist with her recovery. Her Majesty will participate in the Royal Family Christmas celebrations during the day.” All the best to HM and a speedy recovery!

Thankfully Prince Philip was feeling a lot better today and he was able to attend both services, the early morning one and the one in the pre-afternoon. On the morning we saw most senior members of the royal family: Prince Charles arrived with The Duchess of Cornwall and The Duke of Edinburgh.

They were followed by The Wessex family: The Earl and Countess of Wessex with Lady Louise. It’s a first time Lady Louise attended morning service as well. The more of The Wessex family, the merrier! I also noticed Princess Royal with some man. Prince Harry walked with his cousin, Princess Eugenie and wife of Princess Royal’s son, Autumn Phillips. Princess Beatrice arrived with Peter Phillips, while The Duke of York walked to church with Sir Timothy Laurence (Princess Royal husband).

Zara Phillips and her husband didn’t attend church service, as she is recovering at home… Spokeswoman for the couple said: “Very sadly, Zara and Mike Tindall have lost their baby. At this difficult time, we ask that everyone respects their privacy.” My thoughts are with Zara, I am really sorry for her and Mike.

I will cover the afternoon church service in the follow up post.

Outfit & jewellery:
Sweater with purple wrap and the culottes we have seen few times.
Prada suede boots.
I see some stud earrings, but do not recognize those.
Those could be the sapphire studs by HN, but I am not sure.
I think, Lady Louise wore her Armani Junior Broadcloth coat.

  1. Love this outfit. Personally, I think Sophie looks better with her hair down like this. She ought to wear it down more often, but I understand that it is more easier for her to manage when she is out and on engagements.
