The Countess’ visit to Malta in support of 100 Women in Finance’s Next Generation Initiative

According to The Royal Family (on Twitter), on the final day of The Countess of Wessex’s visit to Malta (9th March), HRH attended a working breakfast with nine entrepreneurs from the Young Enterprise Malta programme. JAYE Malta is a non-profit entrepreneurship education institution specialising in providing entrepreneurship education programmes to young people (aged 8 to 30) attending academic or vocational education institutions in Malta and Gozo.

Afterwards, The Countess went on to the Fort St Elmo Museum where HRH viewed the George Cross awarded to Malta by King George VI in 1942, and viewed the vantage point from where the then Princess Elizabeth watched the return to Malta of The Duke of Edinburgh on HMS Chequers.

As HRH Princess Elizabeth, Duchess of Edinburgh, The Queen visited Malta regularly from 1949 to 1951, whilst The Duke of Edinburgh worked there during his last active appointment in his Royal Navy career. From this article you will learn more about Hm The Queen and her close connection to Malta. I’m afraid that’s all what has been shared from today. I have also updated my yesterday’s post with more info & pictures.

Thanks again Anna. I like the strong colours Sophie is wearing on this visit, and totally love the style of dress, very flattering.
