visit on behalf of The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation & 100 Women in Hedge Funds’ Next Generation Initiatives
First day of the visit (2nd March, Wednesday) – Bahamas, Nassau
Yesterday, Their Royal Highnesses, Prince Edward & The Countess of Wessex, have started their visit to The Bahamas, in honor of the achievements of 34 gold award recipients of the Governor General’s Youth Award (GGYA) – The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award in the Bahamas.
The Earl of Wessex is a Trustee and The Countess of Wessex is a Global Ambassador of The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation. The royal couple made a similar trip in 2011, when they attended two gold award ceremonies, one in New Providence and the other in Grand Bahama.

In the morning of the 2nd March, The Earl and Countess of Wessex departed from Heathrow Airport, London, for the Bahamas and arrived at Lynden Pindling International Airport in Nassau (capital city) in the afternoon. Mr Tim Roberts is in attendance throughout the visit.
This royal visit has begun with a dinner at Breezes Resort and Spa in Nassau, hosted by SuperClubs Breezes Bahamas owners John and Aida Issa and their daughter, Muna, members of the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation World Fellowship – a global network concerned with the development of young people.
Not sure if pictures of the dinner will be shared, but I will surely update my post if such will become available to me. My posts most likely will appear on the next day of the visit, due to big time difference, I am 6 hours ahead.
Today’s day of the visit (3rd March) is the busiest of all 6 and I will be sharing highlights tomorrow. Let’s hope for a good press coverage. TRH’s will depart The Bahamas early Saturday morning, as they will head to Florida (for one day) and Cayman Islands. Until tomorrow then!
Outfit & jewellery:
Alexander McQueen White Embossed Pencil Skirt.
Helmut Lang Gala Blazer.
New Smythson Panama tote in orange/coral.

Pendant, also new, cannot be 100% certain, but I can spot Patrick Mavros design from a mile, and it looks like a hippo splat! 🙂
I used to live in the beautiful Cayman Islands. I'm quite sad I won't be there for this visit! Here's a link to their local newspapers: https://www.caymancompass.com/ which should have great coverage. http://www.caymanreporter.com/. This one should have information on their trip to Bahamas as well: http://www.caribbeannewsnow.com/cayman.php
